We are still updating the site with sizes and prices-all will be done over the next several days. We wanted to make sure all that the site was up in conjunction with our annual opening on Nov 14th.

You will notice a link under the Artist's Statement, once clicked, a new window will open giving you a full page of images by the artist or scroll over the navigation bar. This page contains the individual artist's CV, as well as if the work is for sale and the cost. You will also see the artist's email address if you wish to contact him/her directly. We are happy to be able to break our work down further allowing us to showcase more images by medium and or theme.
Eva G. Mihovich
Artist Statement
Breath, Brush, Sumi-E
As a Western practitioner of the ancient Asian art of Sumi-E (literal translation, ink painting), my work reflects a fusion of two aesthetic traditions. The art of Asian Brush painting is one of economy of brush stroke, stuble nuances of shadings and emphasis upion capturing the "essence" of a subject rather than its linear reality. In my work, this sensibility is tempered with a Western perspective on color theory, thoughtful use of linear detail and expressionism. Above all, both traditions are melded in the meditative stance that I actively utilize in my creative process, drawing upon both mindfulness and Zen meditation to enhance the emotion and spirituality of my work.

Artist Statement
The journey for an artist can take many different roads. For some it is the exploration of a specific medium, for others a specific theme.
My journey has been both. There have been many reasons for my explorations; however the two most fundemental are: circumstance and the undying belief that as with any subject a person has a passion for, learning is and must be continuous throughout their lives.
